About The Position

The Athletics Concession Stand Manager at Bedford North Lawrence High School is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the concession stand during athletic events. This role involves managing staff, ensuring the quality and availability of food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience for attendees. The manager will work closely with school administration and athletic staff to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maximizing sales and efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business management or hospitality is a plus.
• Previous experience in food service management or retail operations preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate athletic events.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and preparing financial reports.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the concession stand during athletic events, including setup, service, and cleanup.
• Manage a team of concession staff
• Maintain inventory of food and beverage supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability during events.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed, including proper storage and handling of food products.
• Create a positive and welcoming environment for customers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with school administration and athletic staff to coordinate concession operations for special events and tournaments.
• Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate records of sales and expenditures.
• Assist in the development of new menu items and promotions to attract customers.
