About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Athletics Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Athletics Business Office, including maintaining financial records, managing the deposit and cash collection process, overseeing team supply and equipment purchases, contributing to the development and revision of policies and procedures, and supervising staff and student personnel. The incumbent serves as the department's liaison with other campus units on matters related to accounting, finance, budget, travel, insurance, tax, and human resources. This position is responsible for the personnel and resources of the Athletics Business Office and ensures compliance with university business processes, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations/financial management or in sport management
  • 2 years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience
  • Ability to independently manage multiple work unit priorities and projects
  • Ability to meet critical and cyclical deadlines accurately and timely
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors while working in a professional, fast-paced environment
  • Solid computer skills including advanced proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
