About The Position

The Watertown Public Schools athletic department is seeking a Business and Equipment Manager for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a stipend position with a time commitment of 500 hours.

Requirements

  • Moderate Physical Activity.
  • Strong organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to lead, train, and functionally supervise staff and student employees.
  • Knowledge of ordering supplies, equipment, and services, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of athletic, mechanical, and electronic equipment, supplies, and uniform repair.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Have organizing and coordinating skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, organize, and complete athletics payroll promptly.
  • Hire staff for athletic events.
  • Attend athletic competitions and events.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the safety of athletic events.
  • Manages and oversees all athletics equipment.
  • Determines needs and generates purchase orders to acquire athletic and sports equipment.
  • Establishes, maintains, and reconciles uniform and equipment inventories and oversees the maintenance of all inventory records for the program.
  • Ensures that all uniforms, related apparel, and equipment are clean and serviceable.
  • Oversees and coordinates the work of athletic equipment staff and students engaged in the day-to-day performance of related activities.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
