Athletics and Residence Hall Coordinator

State Fair Community CollegeSedalia, MO
Onsite

About The Position

The Athletics and Residence Hall Coordinator is responsible for supporting the head coach in the overall operation, instruction, and administration of the assigned athletic program and providing immediate response and support for students residing in SFCC campus housing during non-business hours, alternating supervisory responsibility with Resident Assistants (RAs), and supporting general campus housing operations. This position serves in a dual role that supports both the residential student experience and the College’s athletic programs. Acknowledging that this position typically functions in tandem with coaching responsibilities, the Director of Residential Life and the appropriate Athletics supervisor will work with the Athletics and Residence Hall Coordinators to develop an on-duty schedule that supports both campus housing coverage and athletics obligations. It is important to note, however, that the Residence Hall Coordinator responsibilities are to be approached with the same professional attention as the coaching role. While continuous supervision is not required, the Residence Hall Coordinator on duty should be available to intervene in and/or de-escalate situations beyond the scope of RA responsibilities during non-business hours. Residence Hall Coordinators do not assign sanctions to students for misconduct. They are responsible for reporting actions to the Director of Residential Life for action.
