About The Position

This position provides vital support to campus customers and the University of Wyoming Football Certified Athletic Training Staff with Sports Medicine functions. The role involves assisting with daily operations of the athletic training room, providing observation during practices and events, and occasional travel with the team. The work location is on-campus in Laramie, Wyoming, situated at 7,220 feet above sea level.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to consistently lift 25 or more pounds at a time with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to be present most weekday afternoons and early evenings
• Able to carry supplies and maintain communication and focus for 2-3 hours at a time

Responsibilities

• Assist Certified Athletic Trainers with set-up and tear down of athletic team practices and events
• Help with the daily operations of the athletic training room under supervision of staff certified athletic trainers
• Provide on-going hydration and athletic observation during athletic practices and events
• Assist with Athletic Training room maintenance, inventory and cleaning
• Occasional travel with team to away contests for gameday assistance as assigned
• Adhere to confidentiality guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
