The Athletic Trainer will assist in the treatment and/or prevention of injuries by treating chronic or minor injuries and related disabilities to maintain patients' wellness. This role involves performing physical exams, presenting cases to physicians, executing treatments under physician direction, and monitoring patient progress. The Athletic Trainer will collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to evaluate patient conditions and advise on treatment. Responsibilities include prescribing exercises, providing pre and post-operative care, giving discharge instructions, and acting as a liaison with other healthcare providers, coaches, and parents. The role also involves assisting with patient intake, communicating test results, managing provider schedules, and fitting orthopedic casts and braces. Participation in special projects, Sports Medicine Injury clinics, research, and "Sideline Coverage" is also expected.
