Inspire, Create, PLAY … and get paid! This role involves assisting in athletic recreation program planning, instruction, and facilitation. The Facility Monitor will observe participant behaviors and interactions, monitor facilities, greet participants, and enforce rules and regulations. A key aspect of the role is to develop relationships with staff, parents, volunteers, and participants by being empathic, building trust, and displaying patience, while also mediating and resolving conflicts. The position requires supervising and supporting volunteers, interns, participants, and game officials to create a positive and meaningful experience, including providing training and development of inclusion strategies and positive/corrective feedback. The role involves managing participants and their behavior, leading instruction, games, and activities, promoting skill development and exploration, and making adaptations for inclusive learning and play. Active engagement while supervising and instructing participants, encouraging participation, and setting an example for positive learning and play are essential. Responsibilities also include attending to injuries, providing first aid, completing and submitting reports, and inventorying/restocking supplies. The role requires performing C.P.R. and utilizing A.E.D., as well as attending and participating in staff orientation, trainings, meetings, and teambuilding.
