Administers and directs interscholastic athletic events on his/her assigned campus as defined by the New Mexico Activities Association and the Gadsden Independent School District. Responsibilities include the management and coordination of all scheduled athletic events and facilities and the implementation and audit of all ticket and gate receipts. The role promotes good sportsmanship and student development, and ensures attendance at every regularly scheduled game at the 7th or 8th grade level. Duty hours are based on the supervisory requirements of each sport. The manager oversees school-hosted athletic events by directing ticket sales, supervising game workers, coordinating security needs, and ensuring facility preparation. They also assist the school's Athletic Coordinator in facility use coordination and implement/enforce all district and state game policies. This includes policies related to federal law, state law, Public Education Commission, Public Education Department, New Mexico Activities Association, and local school board policy. The position oversees all athletic events held on the assigned campus and performs other duties as required and approved by the Principal, School Athletic Coordinator, and Gadsden Independent School District Athletic Director. The role has supervisory responsibilities over all game workers, including ticket sellers, ticket takers, security, and announcers.
