Athletic Equipment Technician
About The Position
Under the direction of an administrator or manager, the Athletic Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, inventory control, distribution, storage, and repair of athletic equipment, uniforms, and related supplies. This position ensures athletic equipment and facilities are prepared, organized, and available in accordance with established schedules and program needs. The Athletic Equipment Technician maintains accurate inventory records, promotes safe and efficient equipment use, and assist coaches, staff and administration with special projects, events, and athletic activities as needed.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED).
- Two (2) years of increasing responsibility in work experience in maintaining athletic facilities, uniforms, equipment, and supplies in an organized setting of student athletes.
- Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
- First Aid Certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification
- May be required to travel for various off-site meetings, trainings, conferences, and/or events in support of overall objective of the position.
- Complete and submit an online application with all required attachments.
- Complete a medical history questionnaire.
- Agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- Provide fingerprints prior to beginning work.
