The Athletic Director will provide leadership and direction to the District's athletic/sports programs. This role involves leadership in the selection, assignment, training, and evaluation of head coaches and assigned staff members. The Athletic Director will oversee the budget for stipends paid to coaching staff, arrange for athletic trainers and/or medical doctors at all home varsity games, and collaborate with the Transportation Supervisor to arrange transportation for athletic events. Additionally, the position involves hiring officials and security, working with the building principal in arranging proper supervision of sporting events, and arranging field and gym practice and game schedules. The Athletic Director is expected to attend required professional development training, foster good community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to athletic programs and events, and make recommendations to the maintenance office regarding playing facilities and equipment rooms. Other duties as assigned.
