About The Position

This is a part-time position working roughly 8 hours per week. This position does not include benefits. Performs semiskilled work coordinating a variety of athletic programs, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Athletics Division Manager. Requirements

  • General knowledge of the equipment and techniques necessary to successfully conduct athletic programs.
  • General knowledge of the methods involved in organizing, conducting, promoting and supervising athletic activities.
  • Some knowledge of first aid methods and necessary safety precautions to be used in recreation work.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials and the general public.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly both orally and in writing.
  • High school diploma or GED and moderate experience organizing athletic leagues and programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Drivers License.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees athletic programs.
  • Prepares the facility or field for the program and ensures safety of the facility.
  • Ensures the athletic venue is adequately cleaned and organized after use.
  • Maintains athletic program records.
  • Enforces departmental rules and regulations related to players, coaches, and spectators.
  • Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
