About The Position

The HPU Athletic Communications department is looking for students who are seeking experience in live broadcast productions on ESPN+ and in-venue video boards. Gain insight on delivering professional quality productions while gaining hands-on experience with the industry standard equipment. This internship offers hands-on and announcing experience in Division I Athletics.

Requirements

• Passionate about sports, storytelling, technology, or media production

• Have a basic knowledge of digital media
• Be prepared to learn new advanced skills
• Must work flexible hours including some nights and weekends

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2.3 overall GPA
• A willingness to learn new skills
• Strong leader and willing to give inputs in various situations
• Understanding of inputs/outputs and is familiar with technical troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of live athletic broadcasts
• Operate professional broadcast equipment including cameras, replay systems, graphics, audio, and production switchers
• Learn industry-standard production workflows
• Collaborate with coaches, student athletes, and athletic communication staff/creative to produce high quality broadcasts
• Other duties as assigned
