Atelierista - Studio Art Teacher
About The Position
We are looking for a vibrant educator to lead our Reggio inspired Atelier! One who enjoys working with Infants through Kindergarten ages. If you enjoy looking at life through a visual lens, don't mind getting messy and enjoy the process of creating meaningful installations and working with a variety of mediums, we are excited to meet you! Requirements
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
- High School diploma/GED required
- Twelve units in Child Development, including the core courses of Growth & Development (3 units), Child, Family & Community (3 units), Curriculum (3 units), Principles and Practices (3 units)
- Transcripts will be required at time of interview
- Art education experience
Nice To Haves
- AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred
- 12 months of professional teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
- Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
