The ATE Field Technician is a mobile, field-based role that delivers diagnostic, programming, and calibration services to Crash Champions locations. The position requires daily travel to customer sites and is responsible for upholding ATE standards for safety, accuracy, and customer service. Technicians are expected to make service recommendations and document work with integrity, performing only services required by OEM standards. Technicians provide services such as vehicle diagnostics, calibrations, programming, scanning, and wire or connector repair. They document and obtain approval for services as required, conduct test drives to verify system functionality and repair outcomes, and complete documentation and final billing according to MCP guidelines. They also maintain ATE-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles, stay current on ATE and OEM protocols through training and Champions Connect updates, and meet productivity and quality goals. The role involves working independently in fast-paced automotive shop environments, communicating professionally with customers and internal stakeholders, and participating in team meetings and assigned training. The schedule may include rotating Saturday coverage and requires flexibility to meet customer service commitments across assigned business days.
