SAIC is seeking an experienced, Full-time ATC Training Lab Manager to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team. This role provides Air Traffic Controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the Will Rogers World ATCT/TRACON (OKC) in Oklahoma City, OK. The Lab Manager will assist in the overall administration of ATC training simulation exercises/scenarios, coordinating with Course Managers or Lead Instructors. They may also be responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of contractor personnel supporting the contract. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring air traffic control specialists provide a high level of safety and professionalism to the flying public. A well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce is essential for this. The FAA employs over 14,000 Air Traffic Controllers who work in various-sized facilities, safely separating over 50,000 aircraft daily in the National Airspace System (NAS). To provide these services, the FAA trains new specialists and offers recurrent training to current ones. The FAA utilizes Contractor-provided instructional services at FAA ATC facilities across the U.S. and its Territories to meet these training needs. The scope of contractor services includes all training and support required to prepare students to become fully certified Air Traffic Controllers. SAIC must provide training and support services for all types and levels of ATC facilities.
