About The Position
As an At Your Service Center Colleague, you support Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks while upholding Macy’s service standards. The role focuses on delivering a seamless, personalized shopping experience through customer service, fulfillment, sales, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You help keep At Your Service and shopping areas clean, organized, and inviting. Flexible availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The posting identifies the role as seasonal; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to make prompt, sound decisions to address customer needs and resolve issues.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Willingness to meet daily sales goals and acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle electronic devices.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands; stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store, merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks.
- Welcome and assist customers with genuine hospitality, building friendly and personal customer relationships.
- Support total-store fulfillment and use the systems needed to complete transactions.
- Keep the collection, pickup, return, and shopping areas clean, organized, and ready for customers; recover merchandise to maintain a shoppable space.
- Complete BOPS orders and curbside delivery in a timely manner.
- Share loyalty program benefits, help acquire new customers by opening credit accounts, and work toward daily sales goals.
- Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to individual and store results.
- Thank customers and help ensure they have what they need at the end of their interaction.
