About The Position

EisnerAmper is seeking an Assurance AI Technology Director to join their Assurance Technology and Innovation team. This role can be based anywhere in the US, but requires the candidate to be present in the New Jersey office as needed. The Director will serve as a senior technical authority for AI-enabled assurance solutions, responsible for shaping architecture, standards, vendor strategy, and technical governance. This highly visible and analytical role operates at the intersection of assurance methodology, enterprise technology, and artificial intelligence, ensuring that AI solutions are scalable, secure, compliant with professional standards, and inspection-ready. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience within an assurance team at a public accounting firm
  • 7+ years of experience in developing, deploying and supporting technology solutions used in the deliver of assurance services
  • Strong understanding of AI‑enabled systems, data architectures, integrations, and operational risk considerations
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive, assurance, and non‑technical audiences
  • Experience operating in matrixed environments with shared ownership and decision rights
  • Experience in integrating audit quality frameworks, SOQM, PCAOB or AICPA inspection considerations in technology processes

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem technologies (e.g., M365 Copilot, Azure AI / Foundry, Power Platform)
  • Experience working with assurance platforms or structured audit data environments (e.g., CaseWare or similar technologies)
  • CPA, or similar professional certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical authority for Assurance AI solutions, including architecture, integration patterns, scalability, and operational readiness
  • Define and maintain approved technical standards, reference architectures, and design patterns for AI‑enabled assurance tools
  • Ensure alignment between Assurance AI initiatives, enterprise technology standards, security requirements, and data governance policies
  • Partner with Assurance leadership, National Office, and Enterprise AI teams to ensure AI solutions operate within Responsible AI, audit quality, and regulatory guardrails
  • Support inspection readiness by ensuring AI‑enabled workflows include appropriate controls, audit trails, documentation, and human‑in‑the‑loop oversight
  • Represent assurance business technical considerations and risk assessments in governance forums, including Architecture Review bodies
  • Lead technical due diligence and evaluation of AI platforms, tools, and vendors used within the Assurance practice
  • Serve as a primary assurance subject matter technical interface with strategic partners (e.g., AI vendors, audit platforms), influencing roadmap alignment and integration strategy
  • Oversee technical integration of AI solutions with core assurance platforms, including structured data environments
  • Guide solution design reviews, readiness assessments, and release recommendations
  • Support development of technical enablement materials, implementation guidance, and escalation models for Assurance teams
