Assurance Advisor, Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) - Climate Change and Decarbonization (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1736508), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY. Solve challenging ESG and climate change problems. Manage emerging risks and reduce costs by designing and implementing systems and processes to leverage opportunities in areas such as climate change, green and sustainable finance, health and safety, labor rights, nonfinancial reporting, supply chain, and environmental management. Provide clients with strategic, technical, and reporting expertise on a wide range of climate challenges, including decarbonization, risk, emissions measurement, and reporting. Collaborate with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk, and client expectations. Understand client's unique needs, ambitions, and expectations. Manage performance and identify opportunity to improve products and processes. Produce high-quality deliverables, navigate client relationships, and foster a high-performance teaming culture. Solve complex client problems through research and data analysis, synthesize into key insights to frame executive decisions, and communicate to senior leaders. Assist with generating new business opportunities, industry networks, and relationships with a focus on climate change and decarbonization agendas. Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Accounting, Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Science, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience OR Master’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Accounting, Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field and 4 years of related experience.
4 years of Sustainability experience.
3 years of combined experience working with climate change megatrends, net-zero decarbonization strategies, GHG inventory plans, and data management, TCFD, climate disclosures, renewable energy, scope 3 supply chain decarbonization strategies, and carbon offsets/markets.
3 years of experience with researching and resolving emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
3 years of consulting experience within a large professional firm.
2 years of experience with net-zero and science-based target decarbonization strategies.
Certification/accreditation or sufficient coursework/experience requirements to obtain certification within one year of hire in one of the following: APICS CSCP, CA Canada, CPA Canada, CAP, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), The CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing (CFA ESG), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Industrial Hygienist / Certified Associate Industrial Hygienist (CIH / CAIH), Certified Information Systems Auditor Certificate (CISA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), Certified Professional Geologist (CPG), Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), Global Association ofRisk Professionals Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate (GARP), Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verification (issued by CARB) (GHG Verifier), Global Reporting Initiative Professional Certification (GRI), International Society of Sustainability Professionals – Certified Sustainability Professional (ISSP – CSP), Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP), International Society of Sustainability Professionals - Sustainability Associate (ISSP – SA), Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Sustainability Accounting Standards Board Fundamentals of Sustainability Account Credential (SASB).
Requires travel up to 60%, of which 10% may be international, to serve client needs.
