About The Position

The Asst Professor/Clinical role is in the Emergency Medicine General department/unit and works the evening shift. The position evaluates and treats patients who present to the emergency department. The role may require access to sensitive information, including HIPAA-protected health information and other information regulated by federal and New York State statutes. Workforce members must access only the minimum information needed to perform assigned duties, limit use or disclosure to the intended purpose, and make reasonable efforts consistent with Albany Med Health System policies and standards to protect information from unauthorized access and modification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients who present to the ED.
• Access and use sensitive information only as needed to perform assigned duties, limit disclosure to the minimum necessary, and take reasonable steps to protect information from unauthorized access and modification.
