About The Position

Provide technical, operational, and project coordination support for the planning and execution of engineering production and construction activities. Monitor field operations, coordinate resources, oversee project implementation, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production programs in a 24/7 operating environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
  • Plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of railroad construction
  • Experience with leading people

  • Demonstrated knowledge of railroad engineering, track maintenance, construction, inspection, and production work practices.
  • Knowledge of railroad operations, operating rules, work planning processes, and applicable FRA regulations and safety requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, including the coordination of labor, materials, equipment, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project-related technology tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees, contractors, customers, and management at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor field operations and construction activities to ensure compliance with safety rules, operating procedures, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements, identifying and communicating opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and oversee assigned production and construction projects, supporting the achievement of project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational objectives.
  • Perform inspections, audits, and quality assurance/quality control activities to verify compliance with FRA regulations, engineering standards, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, track access, and stakeholder activities to support the efficient execution of production work and minimize impacts to railroad operations.
  • Analyze field conditions, project progress, and operational requirements to develop recommendations and implement solutions that improve safety, efficiency, productivity, and asset performance.
  • Assist Manager Engineering Production with duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
