About The Position

As an Asst-Linen Svcs at Henry Ford Health’s Providence Hospitals, you ensure the collection, cleaning, and distribution of linens and apparel across assigned clinical areas. The work supports patient care teams and helps maintain a safe, hygienic environment while upholding infection control guidelines and operational efficiency. The position is part of a Linen Services team serving communities across Oakland County.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must be able to push carts weighing up to 300–400 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas.
• Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel in accordance with infection control guidelines.
• Perform daily inventory to ensure accurate stocking and distribution of clean linens and apparel.
• Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.
• Wash, dry, or fold laundered linens and apparel.
• Operate laundry equipment according to instructions and departmental policies.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in clean, working condition.
