The Assistant Director of Business Development works with the Director of Business Development to oversee marketing, customer service, and community relations activities. The Assistant Director of Business Development is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and methods. As a member of the business development team, the Assistant Director of Business Development is actively involved in discussions related to a wide variety of departmental issues including, but not limited to, strategic planning, potential growth opportunities, future projects, and changes in programming/protocols. The Assistant Director of Business Development is responsible for assisting the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing the facility’s strategic marketing plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, and coordinating business development activities. Job duties include maintaining an active and productive working relationship with internal departments and government, for profit, and nonprofit organizations in the interest of access to behavioral and mental health patient care. The Assistant Director of Business Development communicates issues or potential problems proactively, especially with the CEO, Director of Business Development, and Director of Admissions/Intake. Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, and in and out of state travel during a work week, as directed by the CEO and Director of Business Development.
