About The Position

The Assistant Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field is responsible for assisting with all phases of the Division I Cross Country and Track and Field programs at the University of Richmond. Specific responsibilities include coaching and student-athlete skill development, recruiting, administrative tasks related to the operation of the program, and providing a positive collegiate experience for student-athletes.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead/manage others
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required
  • Demonstrated expertise in coaching Cross Country/Track and Field is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of social media is preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Previous coaching on the collegiate level preferred
