About The Position

The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) division at Goldman Sachs is a central strategic function focused on driving operational excellence, business planning, and the necessary infrastructure for the firm's strength, resilience, and agility. CPM collaborates across all divisions to deliver scalable solutions, optimize business processes, and foster sustainable growth. The division integrates Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to provide business planning and analytics, expense management, third-party risk management, and governance strategies. Within Spend Management, the Source to Pay function manages the entire spend lifecycle with third parties, including Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation, and Sustainable Operations. It advises on commercial agreements and drives operational efficiency. The Source to Pay – Product Management team within CPM oversees the end-to-end procurement and payables lifecycle, from sourcing and vendor management to purchasing, invoicing, and payment. The Global Procurement team aims to optimize the procurement experience for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and operations teams by ensuring excellent customer experience, enabling seamless interactions, and delivering scalable solutions built on the SAP Ariba platform.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Product Management or related experience with exposure to enterprise procurement, Source to Pay, or related operational domains.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba or comparable Source to Pay platforms (e.g., Coupa, Jaggaer, Oracle Procurement Cloud).
  • Demonstrated experience working within complex technical ecosystems including enterprise platforms and vendor integrations.
  • Proven focus on customer experience design — including journey mapping, user research, and experience measurement — in an enterprise context.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize and present information at a management level.
  • Clear and effective communication skills verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in a global organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and platforms like JIRA and Confluence or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability.
  • Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in Financial Services or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with adjacent SAP products (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fieldglass) or comparable enterprise ERP and procurement platforms.
  • Experience with customer experience methodologies including journey mapping, voice-of-customer programs, and NPS/CSAT frameworks in an enterprise context.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management, onboarding, or vendor risk management.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to procurement optimization (e.g., guided buying, spend analytics, anomaly detection).
  • Experience with change management and driving user adoption of new enterprise tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the product lifecycle for Global Procurement platform products, contributing to discovery, requirements definition, delivery, and ongoing optimization.
  • Champion a customer-first philosophy to improve the end-to-end procurement journey for internal business users and enhance the supplier-facing experience.
  • Partner with Global Procurement operations to identify workflow inefficiencies and translate pain points into product improvements.
  • Define and track customer experience KPIs, including cycle times, onboarding completion rates, and exception rates.
  • Serve as a subject matter contributor on SAP Ariba across the Source to Pay spectrum, supporting various modules and driving enhancements.
  • Support the integration of SAP Ariba with adjacent systems.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define configuration requirements, manage enhancements, and coordinate release cycles.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for new features and work with Engineering and Strategic Delivery Partners to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Create detailed documentation, including business process flows, user stories, and use cases.
  • Champion the use of AI tools, machine learning, and intelligent automation to streamline procurement processes.
  • Facilitate workshops, journey mapping sessions, and product demonstrations to align stakeholders and gather feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, suppliers, operations, and Engineering to ensure successful adoption of procurement solutions.
  • Lead the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and coordinate end-to-end system testing, including UAT.
  • Track and manage defects and deliver status reporting to project stakeholders.
  • Support post-go-live validations.
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining a product backlog and roadmap prioritized by business value and customer experience impact.
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs measuring product success, user adoption, process efficiency, and business impact.
  • Actively participate in agile development, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria, grooming backlogs, and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of features and functionality.
