About The Position

The Temp PT Associate at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; maintains merchandising standards; prepares merchandise for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate also provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0720, 99 Gateway Dr., Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting pay is $13.50–$14.00 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work in multiple store areas if cross-trained and needed by the business.
