Temporary part-time associate
About The Position
The Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss prevention, safety, and labor standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates model positive customer service and store culture, process purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, prepare and merchandise products, and maintain store recovery and cleanliness. They contribute to shrink-reduction efforts, work effectively with colleagues and supervisors, and take on other duties as assigned. This is a temporary, part-time position at a TJ Maxx store in Dayton, Ohio.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
