Requirements

  • At least 4-6 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in energy-related sectors.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience in asset-intensive or operational environments.
  • Ability to work across multiple segments of the energy value chain.
  • Depth in energy & commodities — oil, gas/LNG, power; metals or ags a plus.
  • Strategic mindset and transformation credentials: experience shaping and leading change (operating models, risk frameworks, commercial strategy), not technical specialization.
  • Strong quantitative foundation (derivatives, risk measurement) without needing to be a pure quant.
  • Executive presence and client-facing potential.
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to take initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and apply existing ones.
  • Creativity and the ability to come up with novel ideas to solve clients' problems.
  • Aptitude for analytical work, including analyzing large datasets or complex challenges.
  • Existing US work authorization (firm requirement).

Nice To Haves

  • ETRM/CTRM implementation expertise is not in focus.
  • Familiarity with how AI/ML is being applied in trading and risk is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying key aspects and directing the focus of junior consultants.
  • Effectively plan and execute analysis, identifying core issues in complex analyses to craft suitable recommendations.
  • Work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward.
  • Manage small teams to get the work done.
  • Provide unique insight into the chosen subject area.
