About The Position

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) is a leading global investment management organization. GSAM Operations, part of the Asset & Wealth Management Division, comprises approximately 1200 professionals worldwide, focusing on Client Operations, Investment Operations, Enterprise Operations, and Management and Shared Services. The global Fund Services team, within Client Operations, is responsible for facilitating new business and product expansion through project management of new fund launches, ongoing platform maintenance via coordination of fund mergers, terminations, restructures, and regulatory uplifts, and acquisition integration through fund onboarding and consolidation. This role involves close interaction with external service providers (Custodians, Fund Administrators) and internal teams involved in fund design, setup, operation, and oversight. The funds managed include traditional and alternative investment vehicles such as Luxembourg-based SICAVs, Money Market Funds, ETFs, Mutual Funds, and complex private equity fund of funds structures distributed globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with relevant industry experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Asset Management and exposure to alternative fund events.
  • Knowledge of fund administration and compliance standards.
  • Must work well in a team but also exhibit strong leadership capabilities to help drive solutions to complex issues.
  • Attention to detail but also can see the bigger picture and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and delegates across the organization.
  • Ability to make informed autonomous decisions whilst delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, business writing, communication and time management skills.
  • Desire to continually learn and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Private markets, alternative investment funds, & registered products experience preferred though not required.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage fund launches and other fund change events for US and International funds to contribute to Asset & Wealth Management division product expansion initiatives.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Management, Product Development, Sales, Operations, external vendors, and Federation teams to establish support models and agree on product design expectations and fund features.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Asset Management Business and its investment products.
  • Manage the workflow for fund events such as launches, terminations, and restructures using in-house tools.
  • Facilitate internal and external system setups.
  • Draft and agree on investment trade flows to ensure operational systems are ready for trading.
  • Define and obtain approval for seed capital requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary fund registration and governance requirements are in place prior to fund launch.
  • Lead or assist with projects to enhance infrastructure, improve workflow scalability, strengthen controls, and reduce time to market.
