About The Position
Cipriani & Werner is a multidisciplinary law firm recognized for understanding client needs and delivering expected results. The Atlanta Office in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate to join their growing team.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active license in good standing in Georgia.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in litigation (judicial clerks will be considered).
- Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Workers’ Compensation Defense work preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
- Maintain billable hours as necessary.
- Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
- Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary.
