About The Position

True North Advisors is currently hiring for an Associate Wealth Manager position. True North is an Independent RIA that serves the wealth management needs of high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Our investment philosophy is heavily biased toward fundamental analysis and value investment principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning (or relevant finance-related field), with a minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Certified Financial Planner™ designationcompleted or inprogress
  • 0-5 years offinancial planning experience;experienceserving high net worthclientsispreferred; for those under 1yearof experience an internship in financial services is preferred
  • Experience with Financial Planning software,e.g.,Tamarac, Money Guide Pro,eMoney
  • Excellent work references from former direct supervisors
  • Confident self-starter who thrives inanentrepreneurial atmosphere and believes ina team approachto client service
  • Strongskills inOutlook, PowerPoint, Word,and Excel
  • Ability to juggle multiple projectsand manage competing demands effectively
  • Ability tomaintainextremeconfidentiality when dealing with client matters
  • Personal convictions align withTrue North’s CoreValues
  • Favorable credit report andbackground checkrequired

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside a Wealth Management team to deliver wealth planning services for clients, prioritizing client retention and satisfaction.
  • Developing solutions to complex tax, estate, retirement, and insurance issues for clients.
  • Effectively assisting advisors in preparing and delivering wealth planning advice to clients.
  • Over time, assuming the primary advisor role for smaller client relationships, including formulating and implementing advice while relying on technical specialists to develop allocation recommendations.
