About The Position

The CA-Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring small parcel shipments ship out same day or otherwise within specified shipping windows. He/She will ensure that all items are packed, labeled, and recorded appropriately in preparation for transport. This role involves the lifting and placement of both small, light packages as well as large, team-lift boxes that may contain textiles, furniture or other such products. Working closely with the warehouse and logistics teams, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining efficiency and accuracy in our order fulfillment process. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three (3) years’ experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with pallet jack
  • Experience with shrink wrapping
  • Ability to stand long hours
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting
  • Basic PC skills
  • General Computer Literacy
  • Familiar with warehouse processes such as container receiving and rack loading.
  • Picking out bound orders and accurately handle PO/set checks before trailer load
  • Interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Calm disposition and ability to work under fast-paced and stressful workloads
  • Ability to stand/walk the majority of shift
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Demonstrate proper lifting techniques
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. alone
  • Able to lift up to 110-150 lbs. team-lift and sometimes with machine assistance
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • MS Office Suite experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Ensure all outbound shipments are accurate, properly packaged, labeled, and shipped on time – usually 24 hours or same day
  • Verify shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier paperwork
  • Maintain a line of communication with supervisor as well as organizing the workspace.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Complete daily logs into inventory.
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures
