About The Position

The primary function of the Warehouse Associate is to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving of all materials, manage inventory and stock in an organized and efficient manner, and maintain the premises of the warehouse, loading/unloading areas, and the warehouse yard.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Three-five years in a back of house/warehouse environment
  • Experience or exposure in the fields of agricultural sales, purchasing, light manufacturing or citrus production and processing
  • Must have warehouse experience
  • Forklift certification
  • Effective time management skills
  • Must be fast paced, highly energetic, a self- starter and possess a positive attitude
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 lbs. and handle bulky items. Occasionally, lift items up to 80 lbs.

  • Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) desirable

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all processes documented in receiving SOP’s
  • Receive all incoming material within 24 hours
  • Generate pallet tags for all incoming material
  • Stock the warehouse with incoming material always adhering to bin locations, ensures accuracy of placement
  • Follow first in/first out process when loading material
  • Reconcile actual product shipped against vendor’s packing list, noting and reporting damage or discrepancies
  • Matches vendor packing list to FGS purchase order noting and reporting discrepancies
  • Stocks material(s) away in assigned location using the FIFO inventory system
  • Prepares items to be shipped to customers and vendors
  • Creates shipper’s bill of lading for materials being shipped
  • Disburses paperwork through the appropriate channel to ensure proper records can be maintained
  • Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies
  • Timely communication with Buyers regarding status of direct order
  • Conducts cycle counts as required (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
  • Maintains and updates inventory locations as required
  • Must be certified to operate all types of forklifts utilized at the facility
  • Perform daily forklift maintenance/safety checks and document checklist
  • Performs refueling procedures (propane)
  • Must be trained in battery recharging procedures
  • Prepares and conducts physical inventory
  • Ability to be self-motivated, initiator and be part of a team who wants to succeed
  • Manages attendance according to operation center policy
