About The Position

This role is responsible for safely and accurately picking and staging components according to manufacturing work orders. The position requires acquiring and maintaining an understanding of all product offerings, reading and interpreting manufacturing orders, and inspecting materials for damage or discrepancies. The Associate will perform inventory transactions, maintain a safe and organized warehouse, and meet productivity, accuracy, and quality performance metrics. This role also involves identifying material shortages, assisting with inventory counts, following standard operating procedures, and maintaining proficiency in shipping operations. Cross-training for continuous development and supporting continuous improvement initiatives are also key aspects of this role. The position may occasionally support cross-functional projects for other Cobra Puma Golf departments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6+ months experience in warehouse, material handling, order picking, kitting, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read manufacturing orders, bills of materials, and production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems preferred.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to decipher between products, identify defects, and inconsistencies.
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Display a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, high-mix, production environment.
  • Able to work Monday-Friday 5:30AM – 2:00PM.
  • Should be available to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with necessary support.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately pick and stage components according to manufacturing work orders.
  • Acquire and maintain an understanding of all product offerings and be able to accurately differentiate products.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing orders to be able to verify part numbers and quantities against bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Inspect materials and be able to identify damage, defects, or discrepancies with part numbers.
  • Perform inventory transactions for pick and pick confirmation using the ERP/WMS systems.
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse by keeping warehouse pick locations organized and aisles free from obstructions.
  • Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality performance metrics to support daily production schedules.
  • Identify material shortages in forward pick locations and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure proper material disposition and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain proficiency in shipping operations to be able to support the shipping function on an as needed basis.
  • Engage in cross-training for continuous development to understand all assembly processes and to be able to support seasonal employees.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, picking efficiency, packaging, and material flow in the warehouse.
  • Assist with the stocking of supplies and consumable materials as needed.
  • Occasionally support cross-functional projects for other Cobra Puma Golf departments.
