Requirements

  • Master’s Degree In nursing, healthcare, business, or related field.
  • 5 years in perioperative services.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire
  • CNOR - Certified Nurse Operating Room - Competency & Credentialing Institute Upon Hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Guides and oversees all operational and clinical activities of assigned areas.
  • Assures effective, safe, efficient, economic, and quality-driven clinical outcomes.
  • Facilitates the professional growth of present and future management teams.
  • Assures delivery of safe and effective patient care.
  • Develops ongoing recruitment strategies and oversees their implementation.
  • Collaborates to establish planning consistent with the mission, strategic operation, quality and safety improvement plan, and overall organizational goals.
  • Monitors vacancy and turnover rates; designs and implements programs to achieve minimal vacancies and reduce turnover.
  • Participates in and applies research in practice.
  • Establishes priorities to meet clinical and operational requirements.
  • Develops and implements systems that enable consistent evaluation of nursing care provided.
  • Develops, reviews, and/or recommends revision of policies, procedures, and practices.
