About The Position

The Head of Network Services provides technical and operational leadership for enterprise network infrastructure across TD's global Network Services portfolio. This Executive Level role leads a team of network delivery & engineering managers and architectural subject matter experts responsible for the design, delivery, and successful operation of secure, reliant, and scalable network services across TD's Retail, Campus, and Datacenter LAN, WAN, MAN network technologies across the US, Canada, and international locations across TD's businesses. This highly visible network role is accountable for execution of the network strategy, operational stability, and financial management across the network services portfolio, encompassing delivery of network capabilities aligned to business objectives and regulatory requirements for a GSIB banking organization. Combining deep technical expertise with executive leadership, this key leadership function ensures consistent service performance, cost discipline, and continuous improvement across the network environment. As a leader of one of the key network technology towers, this role has key involvement in supporting and partnering with other Infrastructure & Engineering teams to align network services consumed by application and platform owners, inclusive of Enterprise Architecture and related technology teams. Depth & Scope For TD Bank Group Equivalent Positions - roles will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and subject to Senior Executive / HR approval: Sets direction and oversees a significant and diverse group/mix of technology professionals in the end to end delivery of technology solutions and/or services for a significant business portfolio / segment Generally involved in overseeing large complex technology projects, system enhancements /applications and/or application management and requires top level expertise/specialization combined with management of a discrete unit or function, having significant autonomy and a long term business perspective Generally supports a key business segment, corporate function or segment CIO partner and regularly interfaces with senior executives at the SVP/VP level Accountable for a significant and sizeable budget for either on-gong maintenance and/or new developments/system enhancements for assigned business clients at the executive level Manages a diverse range of IT professionals typically through a management team that directly manage a team of specialists involved in complex integration, development or system maintenance projects (where team size generally exceeds 50+ FTE and additional third party resources) Oversees end to end delivery for a significant portfolio or suite of applications/platforms comprised of multiple concurrent projects / programs that can be enterprise in scope and generally up to and including projects at the Tier 1 level, with a high complexity profile Role typically reports to a more senior Executive role (e.g. TDBG VP equivalent or above)

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 10 - 15+ years related experience preferred

  • Deep understanding of network technologies in global banking environments and complexities of multi-national global WAN footprints.
  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Arista, Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma, Aruba EdgeConnect, VMware Velocloud.
  • Proven track record of implementing enterprise-level technology solutions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with financial industry standards relative to network technologies in practice.
