About The Position
North Haven Animal Hospital has been providing exceptional veterinary care in the greater North Haven, Connecticut region since 1979. We are a close-knit team that combines compassionate, personalized care with the latest in veterinary technology. Our practice has a warm feel with a modern twist. We offer opportunities for both part-time and full-time veterinarians. We go above and beyond routine wellness care for the pets of North Haven, offering services such as in-house diagnostics, urgent care, oncology, dermatology, nutritional counseling, senior pet care, and even services for some exotics. Located in North Haven, Connecticut, our hospital is situated in a charming town with convenient access to Hartford, New Haven, and even New York City.
Requirements
- Full Time OR Part Time Veterinarian
- Proficient in general medicine and surgery
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
Responsibilities
- Develop a relationship with our clients and partner with them to deliver the highest quality patient care possible.
- Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety or discomfort.
- Stay up-to-date with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols and equipment.
- Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
- Help to continue developing the support team.
- Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
