About The Position

Emergency Pet Hospital of Craven–Carteret is a well-established emergency-only practice dedicated to delivering high-quality urgent medical and surgical care when regular clinics are closed — nights, weekends, and holidays. The hospital emphasizes compassionate patient care, uses modern diagnostics and treatment plans, and works closely with referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care. The team culture is collaborative and fast-paced, offering broad clinical exposure. Clinic Snapshot: Practice type: Emergency. Avg. daily patient volume: 10-15 per doctor. Support staff ratio: We strive for a 3:1 doctor to tech ratio. Case mix: Small animal emergency and surgery. Technology & equipment: Digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, dental suite, surgical suite. Team culture: Collaborative, fast paced, fun.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university (required)
  • Compassionate, client-centered approach to care
  • Strong communication and client-education skills
