About The Position
Pontchartrain Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and motivated Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our established small animal veterinary practice in Slidell, Louisiana. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
- Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Louisiana

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness visits
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions in dogs and cats
- Develop preventive healthcare and vaccination protocols
- Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures
- Utilize laboratory diagnostics and diagnostic imaging to support clinical decision-making
- Create individualized treatment plans for patients
- Educate pet owners regarding preventive medicine, nutrition, and treatment recommendations
- Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and fellow veterinarians
- Build trusting, long-term relationships with clients and their pets
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality veterinary care every day
