About The Position

CityVet Universal City offers a unique blend of general practice and urgent care services, providing veterinarians with diverse and engaging cases. This role allows for continuous growth in clinical skills while practicing high-quality medicine, ranging from preventative care to urgent cases and advanced surgeries. The hospital is fully equipped to support advanced diagnostics and surgical care, including on-site echocardiograms and ultrasounds performed by trained sonographers.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice in this state or eligible for licensure.
• A collaborative spirit and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
• Interest in General Practice and/or Urgent Care medicine.
• Open to working a flexible schedule with rotating weekends.
• High interest in surgery, dentistry and Urgent Care.
• Confident working with complex cases.
• Thrives in a collaborative, creative, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to pets.
• Build lasting relationships with pet owners.
• Focus on general practice or urgent care services.
• Work with a wide variety of cases, including preventative care, same-day urgent cases, and advanced surgeries.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and surgical care.
• Interpret echocardiograms and full abdominal ultrasounds.
