About The Position
Kersting Veterinary Hospital is seeking a passionate, experienced Associate Veterinarian with a strong interest in exotic veterinary medicine to join its growing, multi-doctor practice in Chesterfield, Missouri. The hospital cares for small animals, avian patients, and exotic companions and provides preventive medicine, surgery, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, exotic and avian medicine, and luxury boarding services. Veterinarians are empowered to practice progressive medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, relationship-driven, collaborative, confident in client communication, proficient in general medicine and surgery, and eager to continue developing in exotic and avian medicine. Avian experience is strongly preferred. The role offers mentorship, medical autonomy with collaborative support, flexible scheduling, and potential future ownership opportunities. A sign-on bonus starts at $40,000; relocation and student loan assistance are also available.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Active veterinary state license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Current DEA license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- USDA accreditation, or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Experience in general medicine and surgery.
- Passion and strong interest in exotic veterinary medicine.
Nice To Haves
- Avian veterinary experience is strongly preferred.
