About The Position

Animal Health Care Associates is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team on Martha's Vineyard. This practice has been serving the community for over 45 years and focuses on high-quality medicine for dogs and cats, with opportunities for mixed-animal practice. The hospital is equipped for a wide range of surgical and medical procedures, including orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, dentistry, ultrasound, endoscopy, internal medicine, therapeutic laser, acupuncture, thermography, stem cell therapy, and in-house diagnostics. The practice is also planning for facility expansion and equipment upgrades. Doctors are encouraged to practice to the fullest extent of their training, with referrals only when necessary. The practice participates in a collaborative after-hours emergency rotation.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary state license (or ability to obtain one).
• Proficient in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Ability to practice high-quality medicine.
• Ability to build strong client relationships.
• Ability to perform a wide range of surgical and medical procedures.
• Ability to provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
• Ability to participate in an after-hours emergency rotation.

Nice To Haves

• Mixed-animal interests (equine and other large animal patients).
• DEA License and USDA Accreditation preferred.
