About The Position
Fairlea Animal Hospital is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join their established and collaborative team in Lewisburg, WV. This position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians seeking a long-term home and new graduates looking for strong mentorship and a supportive team. Fairlea Animal Hospital has a long history of serving the Lewisburg community with high-quality, compassionate medicine and focuses on building lasting client relationships. The hospital offers a diverse mix of medical practice, including preventive and wellness care, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, in-house diagnostics, urgent care, senior pet care, laser therapy, exotic animal medicine, and nutritional counseling. Veterinarians can develop their interests in surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, preventive care, or client relationship building.
Requirements
- Holds or is eligible for a West Virginia veterinary license
- Has a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans
- Provide preventive and wellness care throughout all stages of a pet's life
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform routine surgical procedures and assist with more complex cases as appropriate
- Provide dental examinations, procedures, and treatment recommendations
- Interpret laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical findings
- Educate clients regarding preventive care, treatment options, medications, nutrition, and long-term health
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Collaborate with fellow veterinarians and veterinary support staff to provide excellent patient care
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, medical quality, and client service
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
