Associate Veterinarian - South Texas Veterinary Clinic (Beeville, TX)
About The Position
South Texas Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Associate DVM for their mixed practice located in Beeville, TX. This full-time role offers flexible Monday-Friday scheduling with rotating Saturdays, and current DVMs work 4 10-hour weekday shifts. The clinic has been a community staple for over 35 years and serves approximately 70% small animal and 30% large animal patients. The practice recently underwent a significant renovation, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for both small and large animal care, including a new small animal surgery room, ultrasound, laser, indoor equine treatment center, and a large animal surgery and recovery area, along with a 5000 sqft barn for holding and treatment.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an accredited program
- Licensed (or eligible) in Texas
- 3+ years of hands-on clinical experience preferred
- Strong surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Passion for high-quality patient care and client service
- Must be licensed (or able to become licensed) in Texas for consideration
Nice To Haves
- Veterinarians with 3+ years of current, hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
- Associates for small animal only as well as associates looking to practice mixed animal (equine, bovine & small animals)
Responsibilities
- Performing wellness exams
- Conducting diagnostics
- Performing surgical procedures
- Providing preventative health care
- Small animal services including GP wellness, surgery, dentistry, electrocardiography, internal medicine, and pet boarding
- Equine services including Coggins testing, wellness care, lameness, endoscopy, dentistry, and surgery
- Herd health services including ultrasound, DR digital xray, Coggins testing, minor bovine surgery, and epidemiology
