About The Position

Fairmont Veterinary Hospital is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Fairmont, WV! Established in 1979, Fairmont Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, small animal hospital serving pets and families throughout Fairmont and North Central West Virginia. Our experienced veterinary team provides comprehensive care ranging from preventive medicine and wellness to dentistry, diagnostics, soft-tissue surgery, and orthopedic procedures. Our hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical technology, including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, and surgical suites. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in West Virginia
Veterinarians of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, including new graduates
Strong interest in companion animal medicine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a veterinary team
Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care to dogs and cats
Perform wellness and preventive care examinations
Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly with clients
Perform routine surgical and dental procedures based on your experience and interests
Utilize in-house diagnostics, including laboratory testing, digital radiography, and ultrasound
Participate in case collaboration and consultation with other veterinarians
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their pets
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture
