About The Position

IndeVets is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This role offers a unique approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing veterinarian wellbeing by providing sustainable career paths, control over schedules, guaranteed income, and hands-on support. As a part-time W-2 veterinarian working 1-3 days per week, you will have a guaranteed salary with a schedule you control, built in advance by a dedicated scheduling coordinator. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing veterinarians to focus on practicing medicine. The role involves practicing across a variety of trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while maintaining the consistency, support, and stability of a single employer. Opportunities to gain experience in surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care are available. The position emphasizes clinical autonomy with no production quotas, no negative accrual, and no restrictive non-competes, focusing on patient care rather than numbers. Veterinarians practice independently but are supported by dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, a collaborative community, and access to a veterinary social worker. Ongoing CE and professional development opportunities are provided to foster growth and retention. The model is designed to prevent burnout.

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
  • Active license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
  • Confidence practicing independently
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills

  • Internship training
