Full Time Associate Veterinarian - Albany, NY
About The Position
IndeVets offers a unique model for associate veterinarians, focusing on work-life balance and career sustainability. As a full-time W-2 veterinarian, you will have control over your schedule, working 4-5 days per week with a guaranteed biweekly salary. A dedicated scheduling coordinator will build your schedule in advance based on your preferences, providing predictability. You will practice medicine across a network of trusted hospital partners, gaining diverse clinical experience. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy with a focus on patient care, not just numbers, and provides support through medical leadership, mentorship, and a community of fellow veterinarians, including access to a veterinary social worker. Opportunities for growth include leadership, mentorship, exposure to diverse clinical settings, and flexibility to evolve your schedule. The model is designed to prevent burnout.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
- Active license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
- Confidence practicing independently
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
