About The Position
Washington Ave Animal Hospital is a modern, full-service small animal general practice in Philadelphia’s Graduate Hospital neighborhood. The clinic provides wellness and preventative care, sick appointments, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, daytime urgent care, and advanced diagnostics. It sees an average of 15–17 appointments per day and has 2–2.5 technicians per doctor, a large treatment area, multiple exam rooms, in-house diagnostics, digital imaging, and modern medical equipment. The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality, compassionate veterinary care and build lasting relationships with pets and their families. The role offers medical autonomy with the support of the clinic’s medical systems, skilled technicians, dedicated client service representatives, and leadership. The team emphasizes collaboration, medical excellence, outstanding client service, and continued professional growth.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Compassionate, client-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate veterinary care.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
- Deliver care across wellness and preventative medicine, sick appointments, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, daytime urgent cases, and advanced diagnostics.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide client education.
- Collaborate with the clinic team to support excellent patient care and client service.
