About The Position

Canobie Lake Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited general practice in Windham, New Hampshire, recognized as the 2024 AAHA Practice of the Year. The hospital provides companion animal and exotic medicine, with approximately half of its caseload involving avian and exotic species. Its culture is based on Conscious Care®, a program centered on compassion for employees, teams, clients, patients, and the community. The Associate Veterinarian practices across a wide variety of species alongside a collaborative team of customer experience staff, technicians, and veterinary assistants trained to support multi-species care. The veterinarian receives mentorship from experienced colleagues, support from a Medical Director, and access to a specialist network that includes a boarded surgeon, cardiologist, and two traveling internists. This is a full-time schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with no weekends and a three-day weekend every week. A personal assistant checks appointments in and out and monitors task lists. The veterinarian focuses on examinations, diagnostics, treatment plans, surgery, and dental work. The hospital closes two hours each week for rounds, training, and team development.
