About The Position

PetDocks Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited small animal practice serving Morehead City and nearby coastal communities since 2000. The hospital provides individualized care in a modern, collaborative setting. Its small-animal general practice also handles urgent care cases, with an average of approximately 16 patients per doctor each day and a support staff ratio of approximately 2:1. Cases include wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and urgent care. Visiting orthopedic and ultrasound specialists are available at least monthly. The Associate Veterinarian will practice general medicine and surgery while building long-term relationships with clients and their pets. The role offers medical autonomy, support from skilled technicians, client service representatives, and hospital leadership, as well as mentorship and professional growth opportunities. The position is based in Morehead City, North Carolina, a coastal community near Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, and the Crystal Coast.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
