About The Position

Nassau Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position in a small animal general practice. The clinic has a long-standing tradition of compassionate care and a strong focus on the human-animal bond, combining experienced medicine, ongoing education, and a collaborative approach. They offer a broad scope of care, including preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, laboratory and imaging services, and care for pocket pets and reptiles. The team values education and community involvement.

Requirements

Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in New York.
Experience in small animal general practice.
Ability to make medical decisions for patients with a supportive team.
Willingness to participate in team recognition programs.

Nice To Haves

Experience with pocket pets and reptiles.
Interest in community involvement and local events.

Responsibilities

Provide preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, laboratory and imaging services.
Care for small animals, pocket pets, and reptiles.
Collaborate with a multi-doctor team, licensed veterinary technicians, and experienced support staff.
Participate in community involvement through local schools, rescue groups, rabies clinics, and pet-focused events.
